Lanta LLC (“Lanta,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a Maryland limited liability company operating a warehouse management and transportation management platform at wms.lantallc.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information from users of our portal, including warehouse customers, drivers, and staff.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account Information: Name, company name, email address, phone number, and password (stored as a salted hash).
- Operational Data: Inventory records, transaction history, dock appointment details, freight load assignments, Bills of Lading, and invoice records associated with your account.
- Driver Data: Phone number (for dispatch SMS notifications, only if opted in), load assignment history, and payment history.
- E-Commerce Integration Data: Shopify store credentials and order data, collected only when a customer enables this integration.
- Usage Data: Login timestamps, IP addresses, and browser information for security and audit purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide warehouse management, dispatch, and fulfillment services
- To send operational SMS dispatch notifications to opted-in drivers
- To generate invoices, Bills of Lading, and reports
- To synchronize orders with connected e-commerce platforms (Shopify)
- To authenticate users and maintain portal security
- To respond to customer service inquiries
We do not use your information for marketing purposes. We do not send promotional SMS or email messages.
3. SMS Notifications
Phone numbers provided by truck drivers are used exclusively to send operational dispatch notifications when a load is assigned. Consent is obtained through the Driver Portal before any SMS is sent. Drivers may opt out at any time by replying STOP or through the portal settings.
Phone numbers and SMS consent records are never shared with third parties for marketing purposes. For full details, see our SMS Consent Policy.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Twilio, Inc. — SMS delivery provider. Phone numbers are transmitted solely to deliver dispatch notifications.
- Shopify — Order and fulfillment data is exchanged with Shopify only for customers who have connected their store.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information as required by law, court order, or government authority.
4A. Shopify Integration — Data Processing
When a merchant installs and connects the FlowOps by Lanta app to their Shopify store, Lanta acts as a service provider / data processor on behalf of that merchant for the purpose of fulfilling their orders.
- Data accessed: order data (line items, quantities, recipient name, and shipping address) and fulfillment data, retrieved to route and fulfill orders through the warehouse. Recipient name and address are used transiently to prepare the shipment and are not stored after fulfillment. We request only the minimum OAuth scopes required for order ingestion and fulfillment.
- Data retained: we store only order reference numbers and warehouse processing status. We do not store end-customer personal information (names, addresses, emails, or payment data) from Shopify orders.
- Mandatory data-protection requests: Lanta honors
Shopify’s required privacy webhooks. On a
customers/data_requestwe report any order references held; oncustomers/redactwe confirm no customer personal data is retained; and onshop/redact(and on app uninstall) we delete all data associated with that shop. - Applicable law: we handle data consistent with the GDPR and CCPA, including the access and deletion rights described in Section 7.
5. Data Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS encryption). Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes and never in plaintext. Customer data is logically isolated between tenants — no customer can access another customer's records. Access to administrative functions requires authenticated sessions with role-based authorization.
6. Data Retention
We retain account and operational data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove personally identifiable information within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements for financial and transaction records.
7. Your Rights
You may request at any time:
- Access to the personal information we hold about you
- Correction of inaccurate information
- Deletion of your account and personal data
- Opt-out from SMS notifications (reply STOP or update portal settings)

8. Cookies and Tracking
The FlowOps by Lanta Portal uses session tokens stored in browser localStorage for authentication. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels.
9. Children's Privacy
Our platform is intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18.
